Hey, how do you like Bev's coconuts? Nice...

The first time I've been in the Parade. Pretty cool...don't take candy from strangers, though...

W&M 31 - Villanova 28 with two minutes left at the Homecoming game...

oops...Villanova scores in the last minute and wins 35 - 31...

an exciting but heartbreaking loss.

Our first time in Fredericksburg...the battles there were some of the deadliest, if not THE deadliest, in all of the Civil War.

We must not forget how gallant those soldiers were.

Stopped by John and Ev's in Clarksburg, Maryland on the way to Williamsburg.

Ev's marinated BBQ's salmon was out of this world!

John "broke down" and spent a couple of extra $$ on some EXP vignonier wines...simply outstanding, especially complimented the salmon and vegetables. Good taste!

A wonderful evening with dear friends.

Thanks, John and Ev...!!!

A wonderful dinner with Mari, Dan, Jemi, Dave, and us, of course...how(-ell)...do you like those wines?

What did we serve?

Ruth Czar led us on a tour of the Poultney Museums...

Orphila Wines and the Howells of Maine at the Birdhouse Inn...

...what a wine tasting...those merlots! Wow!

But the Stag's Leap Petit Syrah, oh!

Let's get together soon!

Joan Loveridege-Sanbonmatu gave a wonderul reading from her new book "Impreial Valley Nesei Women: Tranforming Poston" at the Birdhouse Inn.

Afterwards she signed copies of her book for the many who were gathered here. There were forty people in attendance, filling our rooms with warmth and compassion about the struggles of the peoples who were displaced not only from Imperial Valley but from all over the West Coast during the early days of WWII.

Many of Joan and Ike's friends and neighbors attended. We had visitors from New Jersey, New York, massachusetts, as well as Vermont in the audience. Joan's readings were stirring and inpirational.

Thanks, Joan...and Ike!
