As lovely as ever!

Who are those beauties???

Mt. Independence State Park, across Lake Champlain from Ft. Ticonderoga. A key post in the Revolutionary War...

Two baby visitors to the chicks tried to get into the yard. Well, I had to "trap" them and put them in the cat carrier before they or their mother did any damage to the chicks! Such is living in Vermont!!

The lovely Mihn and who is that next to her? A very pleasant visit with us and a wonderful dinner at the Red Brick Grill.

See you in Texas........................

More pictures from the Fair Haven Peace Pole Ceremony.

Renee is so enegetic! And so dedicated to promoting peace poles...did you know that besides being a public school teacher here, she was also a teacher in Waterbury, Connecticut!

And...she promotes peace and peace poles!!! In her "spare" time she is a2nd Lieutenant in the Vermont National Guard. How's that for being committed to peace?

PS: I got to carry the China flag among others. Karen took Italia and three other flags.
Viva Bolivia!

Peace Pole Ceremony on the Green in Fair Haven.

Renee Marie, a Fair Haven resident and teacher in Rutland, has been sponsoring and "planting" peace poles everywhere. This one was to coincide with Memorial Day. We joined with her to promote peace as the only way to live...no more war!

This was our first Middletown Springs Memorial Day parade. Lots of fun with many interesting sights! Look who we saw again...

Outside for the first time...

Sunday, May 28, 2006

A pre-Memorial Day dinner with friends, neighbors and guests.

Who brought the fine Kunde wine from Sonoma? One of our most favorites?

Who brought the astibles and tall daylillies?

Who brought the fine Rhone wine, Parallele 45? One of Karen's faves?

Who are these people?

Answer and win a prize.

Oh, by the way, this was a simple BBQ, grilled McKenzie's hot dogs, sweet and hot Italian sausages, a wonderful tossed salad, and my new creation--udon noodles with white beans, skinned cherry tomatoes, garlic and EVOO--extra virgin olive oil. This was a hit with everyone.
And more vino, en veritas.

Fans of the chicks arrive to see them for their first views of the outside world. But they are still in their "new" box. Soon they will get a taste of some reals dirt!

Look who got to see them shine!

6o years of Williams Hardware in beautiful Poultney, Vermont.

What a celebration! Everyone who was there was there!!

Many thanks to Christine for her wonderul violin accompaniments!

Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Eagles at Sugarbush celebrated its 25th anniversary. This wonderful resort is four star **** rated. We've been coming here for almost 23+ years! It's convenient to all the skiing, Warren, Ben & Jerry's, Stowe, Cabot Cheese on Rt. 100, Burlington, Montpelier, etc, etc. A great four season place to be!

Here we are with Dee Dee, one of the resort managers, and Michelle, who also works at Eagles. Michelle is an elementary school art teacher. Bless her.

Eagles is a great place to be, ANYTIME.

Stopped by to picnic at the North Poultney Cemetery on Route 30. On a hill overlooking some nice farmland, just by the Delaware and Hudson Rail Trail. This is a very nice trail for walking, biking and snowmobiling or whatever you would like to do any season.

Sake Tasting, Pictures II.

Dee-lish shush foods courtesty of Heather's Japanese Catering Company!

Many thanks.
